Lainie received a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Science in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. She began her design career in New York City at a boutique firm designing residential and hospitality projects. She then joined Gensler where she worked in retail design for 8 years. She moved to Atlanta in 2017 where she led the Gensler Atlanta retail interiors team. In 2020, Lainie was named one of VMSD Magazine’s Designer Dozen in 2021.
Lainie joined Cortland Design in November of 2021 as a senior designer and quickly transitioned into a design project manager. She has various accreditations, is NCIDQ certified, a registered designer in both New York and Georgia, and a Construction Document Technologist (CDT). Lainie is a creative problem solver. She thrives off collaborating with others and enjoys teaching and mentoring junior designers.
