After graduating in 2021 from Oklahoma State University’s CIDA-accredited Interior Design program, Laney started her career with a boutique firm in Fort Worth that specialized in multifamily. She fell in love with the industry and wanted to explore more opportunities within the DFW metroplex, which led her to Cortland in September of 2021.
As a Design Assistant, Laney can work with both the Design team and the BIM team on projects throughout the East and West regions of the company. Being fresh out of school, Laney has a new and youthful take on the design industry and could not wait to dive right in. She has a passion for innovation and technology and believes that interiors provoke emotion, create memories, and tell a story. She enjoys concept development and understanding the needs and wants of the end user. She believes that design goes beyond the walls of the building, and her ultimate goal is to design for a change. To Laney, design is personal.
